Do you want to communicate your research to the general public? Do you like to compete and think it is fun to talk about your research? Don’t hesitate to suggest yourself or your colleague to participate in the International Science Festival in Gothenburg.

The International Science Festival in Gothenburg is one of the world’s largest science festivals. About 70 000 people visit the Science Festival every year. It is a great opportunity to speak about your research to the general public.

How to apply for participation in the Science Festival

Send an email containing brief information about your research no later than March 4 to Jenny Hultén, the Science Festival project manager at the University of Gothenburg: jenny.hulten@gu.se.

Science Slam in English language

You can also apply for participating in this year’s Science Slam.
This year English is the spoken language in this competition, not Swedish.

Friday April 15, 18.15 at Universeum.

Do you like to talk about your research? Do you like challenges? Or do you have a colleague who fits that description? For the fifth year four researchers from the University of Gothenburg meet four fellow researchers from Chalmers, and compete for the best 3-minute popular science presentation. The audience decides who wins. The Science slam contest is a great way for non-experts to meet science in a fun, accessible and entertaining way.
