  • Best English thesis of the year goes to Malin Brus

    [16 Apr 2019] We congratulate this year's 2019 SWESSE Award for BA Thesis of the Year in English Literature winner Malin Brus. Her essay "I Don¿t Think We¿ve Been Formally Introduced?" Re-contextualising a Literary Model for First Meetings through Adaptation Theory and Fan Fiction" is based on Cassandra Clare¿s Young Adult novel City of Bones (2007), and the spin-off film and TV-series.

  • Updated rules for written examination - this is what you need to know

    [16 Jan 2019] As of the spring term, new rules and regulations for examinations start to apply. Among other things, as a student you now have to be at the examination hall 15 minutes prior to the stipulated start time.

  • The University of Gothenburg introduces new digital tools for students

    [26 Sep 2018] At the moment, development and replacement of several digital tools are being carried out at the University of Gothenburg. The study documentation system Ladok will be upgraded to Ladok3, the learning management system GUL is going to be replaced by the new platform Canvas, the university will launch a brand new web and the GU card will be developed with new features.

  • Late Registration for Courses and Study Programmes Open

    [4 Sep 2017] Our new Vice-Chancellor Eva Wiberg has started a blog, which is written in both English and Swedish.

  • Assessment of prior learning in languages

    [15 Mar 2017] If you don't meet the formal specific entry requirements in English, French, Spanish or German, you can take a diagnostic test to determine whether you still can be considered eligible for a course based on prior learning. However, in order to take the test you need to have applied for a course in the respective language at the University of Gothenburg!
