German - Research

The research conducted in the field of German studies at the University of Gothenburg can be divided into two main categories: linguistics and literary studies.

The research in German linguistics is focusing on comparative analyses regarding multilingualism and language contact, text and discourse linguistics and language acquisition.

The research in literary studies analyses German literature and culture with a focus on theoretical, aesthetic and historical issues related to sustainability issues, literary education and expressions of inter- and transculturalism.
